These PTP-200 type C constants measure 23″ x 64″. are designed for an operating capacity of 14,400 lbs and a travel range of 4″. The constants are made of A36 carbon steel and weigh 1,770 lbs each. They have been modified to accommodate a specialized spring coil and have a modified casing. Standard load and travel testing were performed prior to shipping to ensure quality.

All of the custom-designed variables consist of a single flange with two spring supports in order to meet the customer’s height restrictions. These PTP1-140 Type-F variable springs are fabricated from A36 carbon steel with an overall weight of 16,900 lbs. They are designed for upward movement of 0.079″ with a hot load of 4,490 lbs., and a cold load of 4,620 lbs.

This (PTP-13) size horizontal E-type constant is for an energy plant in Iowa. It measures 14″ 9″ 24″ with a total travel range of 5″ and an operating load of 388 lbs. It is fabricated out of A36 carbon steel, and weighs 95 lbs. Standard load and travel testing were performed on the constant prior to shipping to ensure quality.

All of the spring components are made of A4150H and carbon steel. Per customer’s request, a two coat epoxy paint was applied to the springs. The Type-A variable spring assemblies measure 22″ x 79″ with an installed load of 45,000 lb., operating load of 56,000 lb., and a downward travel of 5″. The Type-C assemblies measure 22″ x 89″ with an installation load of 38,000 lb., operating load of 47,000 lb., and a downward travel of 5 1/2″. Each spring coil was tested to insure the wire diameter, coil height, and spring rates.

These constants are manufactured from A36 carbon steel and measure 11″ x 29″ x 61″. Total weight of each constant is 430 lb. The loaded capacity is 2,160 lb. and the maximum travel is 15″. These supports, with operating loads ranging from 4,000 lb. to 58,000 lb., will be used to support flue gas ducts at the oil refinery. The overall lengths of the Horizontal Constants are 5′ to 7′, and the heights of the Vertical Constants ranged from 4′ to 6′. The combined weight of the constants totaled over 24,000 lb. Color-coded rivets for hot and cold loads and universal locking devices are also installed per customer’s request.
