18" Split T Pipe Shoes to Support a Piping System for an Oil RefinerySplit T Pipe Shoe
These split T pipe shoes are fabricated from three types of steel including carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel. They are painted with a two coat paint system that involves masking off the metal on the upper portion of the shoe to allow for welding in the field. The pipe shoes are 18″ in length and 4″ in height.

36" Cold Shoe Anchors for an LNG plant in Louisiana
36" Cold Shoe Anchors for an LNG plant in Louisiana
These cold shoe anchors are designed to support pipe sizes ranging from 8″ to 36″ in diameter. The measurements of the base plate are between 18″ and 36″ in length and between 8″ and 22″ in width. The saddle is fabricated from stainless steel and the base plate is galvanized steel. Micarta insulation material, between the base plate and the saddle, functions to insulate the extremely cold pipeline. These cold shoe anchors are manufactured for large axial and lateral capacities.

These variable spring hangers were custom designed per customer specifications for a power plant in Turkey. The pipe hanger assembly measures 7′- 6″ long and the diameter of the can measures 12″. The variable spring hanger is capable of 55,137 lb. of hot load and 63,339 lb. of cold load. The assembly allows for 1″ upward travel.
In order to achieve the required spring rate, PT&P utilized a set of stacked coils (5 5/8″ O.D.) nested inside a larger coil. This produced an overall spring rate of 9,235 lb/in. The upper and lower attachments were minimized to fit within the space requirements provided.

The stands were completed with a hot-dipped galvanize finish. They were also designed with a neoprene lining in the saddle to prevent metal to metal contact in the field. The function of the pipe stand is to allow for adjustment of the support after expansion or contraction of the pipeline. The simplicity of the design allows for easy installation and maintenance of the support.

PT&P fabricated base insulated supports used to minimize thermal conductivity between the base and un-insulated lines. The support is designed with a carbon steel bottom and a stainless steel upper for cryogenic temperatures of -300°F. The insulation is made of 20 PCF polyurethane block. These supports are designed to handle lateral and axial pipe loads. They also include a wear pad for extra pipe reinforcement, which prevents local deformation of the pipe.
