PT&P custom-designed sway struts for a chemical plant located in Texas. The sway struts and rod hangers are both fabricated from carbon steel. The overall length of the support assemblies’ range from 31″ to 83″ and are capable of supporting loads up to 1,750 lb., with an operating temperature of 1100°F and 1 1/2″ of vertical movement. The sway struts are designed to restrain movement in one direction while providing movement due to thermal expansion or contraction in another direction.
