TPI and FRP Wear Pads
Thermoplastic Isolators (TPI) and Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Wear Pads provide reliable pipe support while preventing direct contact between the pipe and supporting steel structures. By eliminating metal-to-metal contact, these non-metallic pipe isolators help prevent corrosion at one of the most common failure points in industrial piping systems, the interface between the pipe and its support, where trapped moisture can create crevice corrosion. Thermoplastic Isolators (TPI) are designed to provide corrosion protection between steel pipes and steel supports. They are available in three material types to accommodate a range of operating temperatures and thermal requirements, ensuring optimal performance across various applications. FRP Wear Pads are engineered to protect uninsulated piping systems by isolating the pipe from structural supports, reducing wear, providing galvanic corrosion protection, and minimizing mechanical damage caused by metal-to-metal contact. They can also be bonded to FRP piping to provide an additional protective layer, extending pipe service life and improving long-term reliability.
